Routine Cleaning - To maintain the beauty of your braided rug, we recommend regular cleaning using a carpet sweeper.
Be Aware of the Following - Unlike other floor coverings, the surface yarns of our braided rugs lie horizontal rather than upright. This makes them more vulnerable to damage by certain types of vacuum cleaners that have high-speed rotary brushes. Aggressive beater brush action tears away at the surface fibers and in time will cause the yarns to fuzz-up. If you have only the rotary brush type of vacuum, you should raise the brush level so that the vacuum does the work and the rotary brush does not make contact with the rug surface.
Spot Cleaning -
Clean spills immediately by blotting with a cloth or sponge. Next, apply a mild soap solution and rinse with clear water. Take care not to saturate the rug. Allow rug to dry on a flat surface.
Reversable -
All of our braided rugs are reversible. We recommend that you turn your rug over every couple of years to get the most life from your new rug. It would also be wise to “spin” the rug periodically to alternate the wear on the rug.
Professional Cleaning -
Our rugs should not be dry cleaned. When you use a professional rug cleaning service, be sure to tell them what fiber the rug is made from. Our rugs are a wool / nylon blend with a minimum of 50% wool.
