 The building we occupy is an integral part of our store’s uniqueness. The building itself started as an actual carpet mill back in the late 1800’s. Across the street from our building, we own over 25 acres that is part of the French River Waterway. The dam there used to control the flow of water that helped supply the power not only to our building and the manufacturing process, but also to many homes around this area. The Hurricane of 1955 destroyed part of the dam and the building was at that point, transitioned to standard electric power.
Walk around our building now and you will see many of the old machinery, tools and instruments that have helped us run this business for more than 75 years. |
